Introduction
The Ben Franklin Swim Team is
sponsored by the South Suburban Parks and Recreation District, and a member of
Rocky Mountain Swim League (RMSL). The purpose of the League is to provide an
opportunity for kids ages 18 & under to develop swimming skills and gain a
positive, recreational experience through competition. There are three
divisions, with each division based on the number of swimmers and ranking of
each team. Ben Franklin is in the A Division, comprised of the larger teams.
Ben Franklin has had approximately 150-160 swimmers the last few seasons.
Swimmers are divided into age
groups for practices and swim meets events. The age of the swimmer on June 1
determines the age group the swimmer will compete in throughout the summer
season. The age group divisions are as follows:
6 &
Under 8 & Under
9-10 11-12
13-14 15-18
