Weather
Meets may be cancelled for lightning in the area
and/or severe weather. Per league policy, meet cancellation can
only be called by the Team Representatives of both teams at 8am the morning of
the meet, or later during the meet if warranted. All efforts will be made to conduct the meet
if possible. Teams depend on the meet
concessions to raise necessary funds, and swimmers need to swim in a minimum of
2 meets to qualify for Prelims & Finals.
This is why some meets may proceed even if it is cold and damp. If a
meet is cancelled, all attempts will be made to reschedule the meet at a time
agreeable to both teams. Some meets may
proceed in less than ideal weather, and you may chose to scratch your child if
you feel it necessary.
